How do I change Access Codes?

There are two types of codes [Master codes] and [Access Codes]. The only difference between the two is that only the Master Code can add/delete Access Codes.

PC 2580 Users



Enter [*5] followed by [Master Code]

Changing/Adding or Deleting a code
To change the master code or access code enter the number of the code to be changed. For Example, enter [1] to change the Master Code, or enter [2] to change Access Code 2, and so on. Do NOT press [*] or [#] when entering the code. If an existing code is being changed, the new code will replace the old one. After the code in entered, the keypad will beep 3 times. Enter [****] as a 4-digit code to delete a code. If you want to program another code, press the number key for the code to be programmed, and enter the new 4-digit code as described above.

When all desired changes are complete, press the [#] key to return to "Ready".

How do I bypass a zone?

A bypassed zone will not cause an alarm. Zones may be bypassed to allow access to part of the protected area while other zones are armed. For example, bypassing the zone protecting your living room would allow you to remain in the room while other zones on your system are armed.

Enter [*1] on the keypad to enter bypass mode. Use the <> keys to scroll through the list of zones to the zone to be bypassed. Press [*] to bypass that zone, you can then select another zone and press [*] key again if required.

When finished bypassing zones , press the [#] key to return the keypad to "Ready".

NOTE: Bypasses are automatically removed when the system is disarmed.

How do I arm my system at night?

PC 2580 Users



Home-Away arming automatically bypasses certain zones on your system
To arm the system with Home/Away arming, enter an Access Code and do not open the Entry/Exit door. When the Exit Delay expires, the system will be armed with certain zones automatically bypassed. Call us if you are unsure which zones will be bypassed when Home/Away Arming is used.

Power 608/832 Users



Stay Arming, this can be simply activated by pressing and holding the stay key on the keypad for at least two seconds until the RED Armed light comes on. When the Exit Delay expires, the system will be armed with certain zones automatically bypassed. Call us if you are unsure which zones will be bypassed when Stay Arming is used.

What do I do when trouble is lit on keypad?

Do not panic! The trouble light will come for a variety of reasons and does not necessarily mean there is a fault with your system. If a trouble condition occurs, the keypad will beep twice every 10 seconds until you press any key on the keypad.

Troubles can only be viewed when the system is in the disarmed state. If a trouble occurs while the system is armed, enter your Access Code to disarm the system, then follow the procedure outlined below to determine the specific trouble.

From the "Ready" State, Enter [*2]

Use the arrow (<>) keys to view which troubles are present on the system. Once you have scrolled through the list of troubles, press the [#] key to exit the trouble viewing mode and return to the ready state.

Contact Technical support during office hours with the trouble condition and they will advise what action needs to be taken

Most troubles can be rectified over the phone or by our Computer Diagnostic tool. Which is available free of charge to customers with a valid Maintenance Contract.

How do I Change the Time and Date on the keypad?

To set the system time, enter [*6] followed by the Master Code. Press [1]. The keypad will now accept 10 consecutive digits:

Enter the Time in Hours and Minutes using 24 Hour format (00:00 to 23:59)

Enter the Date in Months, Days and Years (MM DD YY).

How do I turn my system on/off by my mobile or work phone?

Most of our control panels can be upgraded with an ESCORT Module which allows any touch tone phone or mobile phone to act as a keypad.

Call 01483 277474 for an immediate quote.

How to Arm/Disarm the system.

From a touch tone phone, call the security system and let the line ring once. After a single ring, hang-up and call again. On the second call, the system will pick up and announce "Hello". Enter your Remote Telephone Access Code and the system will announce "Enter your access code" Enter an Access Code. Once a valid code has been entered, the system will announce one or two messages to advise of status of system.

Enter your access code again will Arm/Disarm the system depending on system status.

Once finished hang-up the line.
